for your Photography Session

Note: styles do tend to sell out quickly. If they are sold out, you can click around and find other things you love that are similar from the same companies.

What you wear to your photography session greatly impacts the way your photos will turn out. You should take into account the season, location, and the time of day your session will take place when planning your family’s photo outfits. Sticking to lighter neutrals, like ivory, cream, beige, and gray will help to keep your photos more timeless without any fashion trends that may otherwise date the images. In the outfits above, I started with a cream color as a base and brought in darker accents to bring in more contrast. Textures like velvet, linen, knit, leather, and corduroy are great options because they provide a lot of subtle dimension.

Choosing family outfits shouldn’t be hard. My hope is that whether you decide to go shopping or use what you already have in your closet, we can brainstorm together looks that tie your wardrobes together for your photo session!
